Hotel Lakolk on the North Sea Island of Rømø was a delightful find for our New Year's getaway. The peaceful atmosphere during our stay was just what we needed, and the location couldn't have been better, especially for kite enthusiasts like us. The hotel's helpful staff made our stay even more enjoyable by assisting with our room change without any hassle.Staying in a 1960s designed apartment felt like a step back in time, reminiscent of my childhood memories. The vintage charm, complete with minimal electric outlets and retro bathroom, added a unique touch to our experience. Breakfast in the restaurant was a lovely touch, though open only on weekends, it was a great way to start the day before exploring the area's natural beauty.The proximity to Romo Golf Links and Rømø Harbor made it easy for us to indulge in outdoor activities and explore the Wadden Sea National Park and Danish Wadden Sea Islands. The hotel's facilities, including bicycle rentals and a large terrace, catered to our adventurous spirits.Hotel Lakolk provided us with a cozy and nostalgic retreat, ideal for those seeking a blend of retro vibes and modern comforts. I can't wait to return, perhaps during the bustling summer season to experience a different side of this hidden gem on Rømø Island.
